Post-Production Services Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Civic! We’re excited to work with you on your video project. Here’s what you need to know about our post-production services:

Getting Started

  1. To provide you with an accurate estimate, we’ll need the following information:
    • Scope of the project (what needs to be done)
    • Deadline (when you need the final product)
    • Execution expectations (your vision for the final product)
  2. Based on this information, we’ll create a detailed estimate including:
    • Projected number of hours
    • Breakdown of tasks
    • Expected timeline
    • Total estimated cost
  3. You’ll approve this estimate through our handy online form.
  4. Once approved, we’ll get to work!

Our Rates

  • Standard Rate: $75/hour
  • Rush Rate: $150/hour (for projects due in less than 72 hours)

What We Need from You

  • Raw footage
  • Music and sound effects (unless you want us to source them)
  • Brand guidelines
  • Timely feedback and approvals

What We’ll Do

  • Deliver an awesome edited project based on the approved estimate
  • Keep you updated on our progress
  • Source any additional media needed (and get the necessary licenses)

Revisions and Changes

  • Two rounds of revisions are included in your initial estimate
  • Additional revisions are billed at our hourly rate
  • Big changes might require a new estimate

Ownership and Rights

  • You’ll own the final product once you’ve paid in full
  • We keep the right to use the work in our portfolio
  • You’re responsible for making sure you have the rights to use any materials you provide

Payment Terms

  • New clients: 50% deposit upfront, remainder due within 10 days of delivery or deadline
  • Established clients: Full payment due within 10 days of delivery or deadline
  • Late payments will incur a 2% monthly interest charge

Billing and Payment Methods

  • All invoices will be issued by Metric Creative, LLC
  • Our address: 6101 Pratt Drive, New Orleans, Louisiana 70122
  • We accept the following payment methods:
    1. QuickBooks (for internal transfers or bank transfers)
    2. Zelle (payment ID: samuel (at) metric-creative.com)
    3. Check (payable to Metric Creative, LLC, mailed to our address above)

Business Documents

  • W9 forms and other business documents are available upon request

Cancellation

If you need to cancel after we’ve started:

  • Cancellations are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. By default, the client is responsible for the full estimated amount once work has commenced, provided the artist is available to complete the project. This policy reflects the artist’s commitment to the project, including scheduling adjustments and potentially declining other opportunities. The allocated time must be compensated regardless of project completion.

Keeping Things Confidential

We promise to keep your project details under wraps.

You’re responsible for making sure all the materials in your project (images, music, etc.) are properly licensed. We can’t check this for you, so please make sure everything’s above board!

Problem Solving

If any issues come up, we’ll do our best to work them out through friendly discussion.

Acts of God (and Other Surprises)

Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by things outside our control (like natural disasters or global pandemics).
